A Cancer Journey Told Through Myth
Canceromachy: The Epic Battle Against Cancer is an evolving story about living with cancer, told through personal experience, Greek mythology, medicine, memory, fear, hope, and the strange world that begins to form when all of those things collide.
The book follows my cancer journey while reimagining parts of that experience through the gods, monsters, heroes, and forces of Greek mythology. Some events happened exactly as described. Others are transformed through myth. Together, they tell the same story from different worlds.

How the Story Works
Three Layers of the Same Story
Canceromachy tells one story across three interconnected layers. Each shows the same journey from a different perspective.
The Mortal Layer is what actually happened. Cancer, appointments, scans, treatments, research, friends, doctors, difficult days, ordinary moments, and the life continuing around all of it. This is the foundation of the story.
The Divine Layer places Greek mythology over that real world. The gods and other mythological figures give faces, personalities, and stories to forces that might otherwise be difficult to see: healing, strategy, fear, uncertainty, pain, nature, memory, and the many other experiences that become part of life with cancer.
The Digital Layer belongs to Logia, the narrator and librarian of Canceromachy. From the Library of Infinite Patterns, she researches, observes, connects ideas, introduces ancient mythology, and guides the reader between the real journey and the myth growing around it.
The layers do not replace one another. The medical events remain real. The ancient mythology remains rooted in its own traditions. The new mythology gives the story another language through which those experiences can be understood.
An Unfinished Story
The Story Is Still Being Written
This is not a completed memoir written after everything was over. Canceromachy is being created while the life behind it continues. New treatments, discoveries, fears, victories, setbacks, gardens, myths, and ordinary moments can still change what comes next.
The book itself will continue to grow here as chapters are written, revised, illustrated, researched, and prepared for publication.
At Its Core
More Than a Story About Cancer
Cancer may be what begins Canceromachy, but it is not the only thing the book is about. It is also about what remains when life changes suddenly: curiosity, friendship, nature, humor, fear, creativity, knowledge, uncertainty, and the effort to continue building a life while the ending is still unknown.
Cancer may be the monster that begins the battle. It does not get to decide what the story is about.
